Description
In ultrarelativistic heavy ion collisions, apart from the quark-gluon
plasma being produced, part of the projectile or target nucleus may
survive the collision without directly participating in the interaction.
This nucleus is referred to as a spectator.
The particles could be created within participant zone but also during
the deexcitation of the hot spectators. Space-time evolution of these
nuclei is difficult to describe, as we do not have sufficient
experimental data to compare our results with.
The aim of this work is to simulate and analyze, using abrasion-ablation
model, Xe+La collisions at 20 and 150 AGeV/c. Those are reactions from
fixed target experiments soon to be conducted at CERN.
