Description
We formulate a stochastic extension of the time-dependent Bogoliubov–de Gennes formalism to describe thermalization in fermionic superfluids. The approach combines particle-number-conserving fluctuations of the local pairing field with quantum cooling in the particle–particle channel. This framework enables us to model relaxation and thermalization at fixed excitation energy. We investigate the resulting nonequilibrium evolution of the pairing field and analyze the thermodynamic and entanglement entropies of the system to determine whether, and under what conditions, thermalization occurs.
